Würth Logistics can trace its roots back to Switzerland. In the Shipping department of Würth International AG in Chur – which is also the central Purchasing department of the Würth Group outside Germany – three logistics specialists began consolidating and optimizing transports both for the Würth Group and for external customers back in 2002.

Around 130 logistics optimization specialists currently work as a team in various logistics disciplines at eight locations in five countries across three continents. In 2021, we generated revenue of EUR 240 million.

The control center of Würth Logistics is still located in Switzerland – since 2013 in Würth Haus Rorschach on the banks of beautiful Lake Constance. We also remain active with a branch office in the city of Chur, which is where company was originally founded. From here, we coordinate the flows of goods for Würth International AG. We also manage the foundation of new Würth Logistics companies from Switzerland and thereby assure proximity to our customers.

The branch office established in Hörbranz, Vorarlberg in 2008 specializes in trade with loading equipment, as well as warehouse and distribution services. The experts working at the 2,000 square meter base in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland border triangle offer tailor-made logistics solutions for customers whose products require special handling.

In the North German city of Bremen, a small team of just four employees with a focus on processing sea freight began work in 2011. This company was founded in response to constant growth, especially in terms of sea freight imports and exports. Being located in direct proximity to the port, where everything happens, makes many things easier than operating from the heart of the Swiss mountains, for example when coordinating with authorities and recruiting see freight specialists. Some 40 logistics optimization specialists today work at our site in Bremen and have massively expanded the scope of services offered.

Establishment of Würth Logistics USA Inc. in 2013 with headquarters in Indianapolis was the key step that brought us closer to our American customers. The transport specialists at this location support local customers in optimizing their logistics processes, demonstrating that logistics processes can also be made more affordable and efficient in the US with intelligent concepts.

Würth Logistics Asia-Pacific Sdn. Bhd. with headquarters in Subang Jaya (Malaysia) is currently the youngest company of Würth Logistics. Since 2016, a team of specialists has been handling the transports and logistic processes of our customers in the Asia-Pacific region. We rely on our tried-and-tested strategy here, which focuses on generating synergies through consolidation of goods flows and consistent process optimization. This enables us to generate genuine added value for our customers. Our customers outside the Asia-Pacific region also benefit from the expansion of our service provider network with strong partners, for example when looking to import or export products between Asia and Europe, as well as the US.

Würth Logistics opened a local office for a freight hub in the Hohenlohe region of Germany in 2017. Since 2021, we have had access to an area of 5,600 square meters in the new central logistics hub of the Würth parent company, Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. At this location, our transport specialists consolidate and coordinate the Würth consignments of suppliers from Germany for the Würth national companies in Europe.

Würth Logistics has also been operating a branch office in Kupferzell since 2020, offering even greater proximity to customers in Germany. A team with customs and foreign trade specialists advises and supports our customers in the region on all issues relating to the rules, regulations, and legislation of international trade.
